Chelsea’s new wingback Davide Zappacosta gets added to the Azzurri roster by Ventura for Tuesday’s WCQ with Israel. The former Torino wingback will replace Spinazzola who suffered an injury. Zappacosta took part in Italy’s training session this afternoon.
Zappacosta made his international debut for Italy last November against Liechtenstein in a 2018 World Cup qualifying match of which he started.
Chelsea have signed Davide Zappacosta on a four-year deal from Torino.
Zappacosta said: ‘It is a dream for me to join Chelsea and play in the Premier League. I am very excited to be here and start working with the team. I hope I can show my quality to the coach, my team-mates and the supporters.’
