Chelsea to examine Morata to have a better idea of the extent of his injury from their own doctors

Alvaro Morata limped off mid way through Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City last Saturday because of a hamstring injury, but traveled to Spain for international duty earlier this week but then withdrew from the Spain’s national team for said reason.

The Spanish Football Federation says Morata has a grade-two hamstring injury which could see him out of action for over a month. Chelsea on the other hand want to examine Morata using their own doctors to have a better understand of the injury.

Chelsea have some crucial matches coming up which includes two Champions League games vs AS Roma and the hosting of former manager Jose Mourinho & Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on the 5th of November. With Morata’s injury causing him to miss these matches, Michy Batshuayi is Chelsea’s only recognizable striker in the team. His time to step up is now.
